Talavera, McBee earn weekly XC honors
Alverno's Marci Talavera and Concordia Chicago's Ethan McBee were named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's and Men's Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week for events of October 17-23.
Talavera (Franklin, Wis.) set a personal best of 27:40 in the 6K, which is also the sixth fastest time in school history and third fastest for an Inferno freshman, at the UW-Oshkosh Open on Friday.
McBee (Monroe, Mich.) finished 24th overall with a 3-mile time of 16:05.11 at the North Central Cardinal Open on Friday.
