Williams, Schumacher claim weekly XC awards
Jordan Williams of Marian and Alyssa Schumacher of Wisconsin Lutheran were named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week for events of September 26-October 2.
Williams (Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) placed ninth at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday with a time of 26:59.46 in the 8K. It was his second-straight top-10 finish after taking third in his first race of the season.
Schumacher (Johnson Creek, Wis.) ran her career-best 6K time at the Warrior Invitational Saturday as she completed the course with a time of 24:28, placing fourth of nearly 100 entrants in the race.
