Lorenzen competes at NCAA Championship

WEST CHESTER, Ohio. -- Concordia University Wisconsin's Micah Lorenzen finished 32nd at the 2006 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship with a time of 27:37 at Voice of America Park in West Chester.
Lorenzen, a junior from Pipestone, Minn., was just 1:06 off the mark of the top runner, Macharia Yuot of Widener University, who finished with a time of 26:31 in the 8K event. Lorenzen was the sole Northern Athletics Conference runner at the event. Lorenzen qualified for the championship by finishing 10th at last week's NCAA Regional event with a time of 25:08.
Calvin College claimed the men's team championship, placing six runners in the top 25. Middlebury College won the women's title, edging out Amherst College by one point.
Lorenzen won the 2006 Northern Athletics Conference championship on October 28, with a time of 26:45. The Falcons finished second at the 2006 NAC championship.
