Maranatha's Torey DeLozier was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Midwest All-Region Team for the 2011 season. Additionally, the junior outside hitter received honorable mention for the AVCA DIII All-American Team.
Edgewood's Mallory Palmer, also a junior outside hitter, received honorable mention All-Region honors.
DeLozier averaged 6.32 kills per set and finished the season with 720 kills. She recorded 392 digs, averaging 3.44 digs per set and amassed 20 block solos and 68 block assists for the Crusaders (24-8, 7-5 Northern Athletics Conference).
Palmer averaged 3.94 kills per set for a .211 attack percentage and recorded 402 digs and 57 blocks defensively for the Eagles (21-14, 9-3).
The AVCA is an organization that provides a professional network for volleyball coaches. They recognize elite players and coaches through the All-Region Teams and Coach of the Year Awards.
