Stars' Lawrence earns another weekly award

Dominican's Jacy Lawrence was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for events of October 10-16.

Lawrence (St. Louis, Mo.), who was named the Most Outstanding Player at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational this weekend, collected 55 kills, 48 digs, 15 blocks, and four service aces in the 5-0 week for the Stars.

These totals include double-doubles (17 kills, 12 digs and 16 kills, 15 digs) in each of the Stars' victories over Central (Iowa) and Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, and a 9-kill, 9-dig, 5-block performance against host UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. The Stars won the tournament extending their current win streak to 15 matches.

This is Lawrence second-straight NAC Student-Athlete of the Week award.
