Lawrence's 3 double-doubles earn weekly award
Dominican's Jacy Lawrence recorded three double-doubles in four matches to earn the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week Award for events of September 5-11.
Lawrence (St. Louis, Mo./Villa Duchesne), who was named to the Molten Volleyball Classic All-tournament team, was just a kill shy of four double-doubles in the tournament hosted by No. 13 Colorado College.
In the Stars' 3-2 defeat of preseason No. 18 Whitworth University, Lawrence recorded a match-high 24 kills, had 18 digs, four service aces, and two block solos. In Dominican's first of two matches against Colorado College, Lawrence had a match-high 11 kills and team-high 10 digs, and in the championship match against the host, she recorded her third double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs.
