Strehlow headlines women's tennis all-conference awards
Wisconsin Lutheran's Kaitlyn Strehlow was named the 2011 Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year and headlined the 2011 All-Northern Athletics Conference Women's Tennis Team.
Strehlow went a perfect 9-0 in conference duals this season at No. 1 singles and was 17-1 overall. She ran the table in the conference individual tournament earlier this month to win the individual title.
Dominican's Kornelia Nowaczyk, also a member of the All-NAC team, was honored as Freshman of the Year. The rookie went 6-3 in NAC duals and was 10-5 overall, playing mostly at the No. 2 singles spot.
Edgewood's Ben Oestreich was voted as NAC Coach of the Year for the first time by his peers. Oestreich guided the Eagles (11-4, 10-1 NAC) to a share of their fourth-straight conference title (Concordia Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran were other co-champions).
The complete listing of the All-NAC teams are listed below, as well as the All-Sportsmanship Team, which includes one member from each school and was chosen based on the principles of sportsmanship as promoted by the NAC and NCAA.
