September 24-30

Raquet, a sophomore, was an impressive 4-0 in singles play and 3-1 in doubles play this past week. Her play helped the Sabres to 3-1 on the week to move their record to 8-4 overall and 7-1 in the NAC. Saturday versus Aurora, she was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Aurora's Beth Okrie at #4 singles and then teamed with Zwicky to defeat Okrie and Courtney Ksioszk by a score of 8-1. Later that day, she defeated Benedictine's Andrea Olna 6-0, 3-6, 10-7 at #4 singles. She and Zwicky then teamed up for an 8-0 victory in doubles. On Sunday, she was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Edgewood's Megan Sura in singles play.

Durman was unbeaten in singles play in three conference matches last week. She knocked off Aurora's Erin Anthony (6-1, 6-2), Lakeland's Erika Brown (6-0, 6-0) and Marian's Michelle Zwicky (7-5, 6-4). In doubles play, Durman teamed with Eileen Shanahan at #1 doubles and posted a 2-1 record falling just to Marian's #1 doubles team (8-4) while defeating Lakeland (8-0) and Aurora (9-7).

Megan Sura, Edgewood College
...5'4...Sophomore...#4 Singles...Superior, Wis....
Sura improved her winning streak to five matches with three consecutive straight-set victories over NAC opponents last week at No. 4 singles, as the Eagles also went 3-0. Sura shutout Rockford's Anna Jacobs and Andrea Oliva of Benedictine University, 6-0, 6-0. She also was impressive in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Aurora's Courtney Ksioszk.

...5'5...Sophomore...#5 Singles/#3 Doubles...Maywood, Ill. (Walther Lutheran)...
Wente won both of her singles matches on Saturday, defeating Katie Schneider of Edgewood 2-6, 6-1, 10-7 at fifth. She moved up to fourth to defeat Jessica Roskens of Rockford 6-0, 6-0.

August 31 - September 2

Kelsey Steinhorst, Edgewood College
...5'7...Sophomore...#3 Singles/#2 Doubles...Baraboo, Wis....
Steinhorst improved her career record to 14-2 in singles and 15-3 in doubles with 2-1 records in both singles and doubles play this past weekend. The Eagles fell to UW-Stevens Point, 7-2, and UW-Stout, 8-1, but defeated Lawrence University, 3-2, in a darkness shortened match.
