John Frausto named Marian's women's tennis coach

FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- Marian College has named John Frausto its next head women's tennis coach. Frausto, who currently serves as the Director of Tennis at Center Court in Fond du Lac, replaces Kathy Hahn who resigned earlier this summer after three seasons with the Sabres.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to coach at Marian College in large part because of the reputation the institution has," stated Frausto. "I believe there is a lot of potential for the program and I look forward to working with the student-athletes," noted the coach.
Frausto brings over 16 years of tennis experience to the Sabre program. Prior to his time at Center Court, Frausto was the Director of Tennis at the Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA.
Frausto, who received his degree in Health and Physical Education from UW-Platteville (1996), was a two-time All-WIAC performer (1994, 1995). He currently is seeded in the Top-10 in Open Singles in the state of Wisconsin.
"We are very excited with the knowledge and experience that John will bring to Marian College," stated Doug Hammonds, Marian's Athletic Director. "John possesses strong coaching skills and will be able to relate to the student-athletes very well, which is something that will help him achieve success," stated Hammonds.
Frausto and his wife Julie reside in Fond du Lac, they have one child, Morgan, and are expecting another child in (March, 2007).
