MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin Lutheran College head women's soccer coach Ryan Herrmann has stepped down from his position effective immediately, Director of Athletics Skip Noon announced on Wednesday.

"We would like to thank Ryan for his service to Wisconsin Lutheran College as head women's soccer coach and concessions manager," says Noon.

Herrmann, who spent four seasons (2008-2011) as head coach of the Warriors, compiled a 14-60-1 overall record while at the helm of his alma mater. Wisconsin Lutheran is coming off of a 2011 season in which it finished 3-15 overall and 3-9 in the Northern Athletics Conference for a 10th-place finish. The fifth head coach in program history, Herrmann coached six players who received all-conference recognition during his tenure at WLC.

A search to fill the coaching vacancy is under way.
