Lumpe's shutouts earn weekly accolade
MSOE's Emma Lumpe was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for events of October 24-30.
Lumpe (Lawrence, Kan.) was perfect in goal for the Raiders, going 180 minutes in two crucial games. In the last regular-season game on Wednesday, the junior goalkeeper had seven saves on the night as the Raiders upset Aurora 1-0, who was undefeated in conference play at the time.
On Sunday in a 1-0 NAC first-round win over Concordia Wisconsin, Lumpe had four saves going the full 90 minutes, helping the team advance to the semifinals on Wednesday.
