MILWAUKEE -- The Alverno College Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Pam Shipway as an assistant women's soccer coach. "I'm excited to have Pam join our staff," Alverno head coach Brittany Nikolic said. "She brings playing experience from a strong college program and a good understanding of how we want to play the game. Pam will serve as a great role model for the players and help us continue to grow as a program."

Shipway, a Vernon Hills, Ill., native, was a standout player at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has recently been coaching in the Elm Grove and Wauwatosa soccer clubs.

During her playing career at Milwaukee, she was honored with multiple awards, including being named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team and the Horizon League All-tournament Team. She finished her career having played in 84 games, tied for second-most in school history.

Shipway received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Milwaukee.
