Concordia Chicago names Marsha Panfil as women's soccer coach
RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Concordia University Chicago announces the appointment of Marsha Panfil as head coach for the women's soccer team. Panfil succeeds Adam Nirenberg who coached the Cougar women during the 2007 season.

Jeff Pill joins Maranatha
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Maranatha Baptist Bible College is pleased to announce that Jeff Pill will join Maranatha athletics department as men's soccer coach and overseeing the women's team. Jeff Pill leaves his job as Women's National Staff Coach for U.S. Soccer and assistant coach for the U19 National Team with an international record of 11-0-1.

Spartans Named D3kicks.com All-Region
AURORA, Ill. -- The Aurora University Spartan Women's Soccer team finished the 2007 season as Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) regular season and tournament champions, their ninth conference title in the last 13 seasons, with a 19-3-1 overall record and 12-0 in the NAC. AU made a third consecutive trip and fifth in seven years to the NCAA Division III Championships. On the season, the Spartans out-scored their opponents 77 to 15 (23 games). The Spartans set school or tied records for wins (19), consecutive games with a goal scored (22), consecutive wins (19), team shutouts (12) and lowest goals against average (0.65).

Concordia Chicago's Adam Nirenberg resigns as men's and women's soccer coach
RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Adam Nirenberg, head coach for the men's and women's soccer teams at Concordia University Chicago, has tendered his resignation for both positions, effective February 1, 2008. Nirenberg is leaving Concordia to pursue other opportunities.

Spartans drop heartbreaker to host Maroons in NCAA Tournament
CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Aurora University women’s soccer team ended their season with a 1-0 overtime loss to the University of Chicago on Saturday afternoon in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship. The loss ended a record breaking season for the Spartans, which saw them finish with an overall record of 19-3-1.

Spartan women's soccer NCAA bound
AURORA, Ill. -- Aurora University's women's soccer team will represent the Northern Athletics Conference in the 2007 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships. The Spartans received a Pool B berth, one of three in the country, and will travel to the University of Chicago on Saturday, November 10, 2007, to take on the host Maroons. Game time has been set for 11:00 a.m.

Spartans win Central Region battle
AURORA, Ill. -- On a cool fall afternoon on AU Field, the Aurora University Spartans defeated the Blazers of the College of St. Benedict 1-0. The match pitting two of the Division III Central regions stronger teams, found the host Spartans prevail and move their record to 11-2-1 on the season, while the Blazers fall to 12-2.

Edgewood College to play remainder of home soccer games at Warner Park
MADISON, Wis. -- Edgewood College has reported that they will play the remainder of their home soccer games at Warner Park for the 2007 season. This follows an announcement made by the City of Madison that immediate renovations will begin on Breese Stevens Field.

Defending national champs defeat Spartans
AURORA, Ill. -- The Aurora University women’s soccer team was defeated by the defending Division III national champion Wheaton College Thunder 5-1 on Tuesday afternoon at AU Field. Aurora falls to 0-2-1, while Wheaton improves to 3-0-0 on the season.
