Siemens' top finishes earn NAC weekly award

Northwestern's (Minn.) Kristina Siemens claimed medalist honors in a pair of meets last week, and was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week for events of August 29-September 4, the first award of the season.

Siemens (Watertown, S.D.) carded a six-over-par-78 at the 2011 UMAC Preview Tournament last Thursday, seven strokes ahead of her closest competitor, for the top spot of the tournament. She followed that up with a 90 at the Augsburg Twin Cities Opener on Saturday, but still recorded the best score by four strokes for her second medal in as many events.

The Eagles took second in each of the events.
