Northern Athletics Conference women's golf awards announced

VERONA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has just released the All-Northern Athletics Conference awards for the 2007 women's golf season.

The 2007 All-Northern Athletics Conference Women's Golf Team includes the top ten golfers based on their performances in this fall's NAC sanctioned events, including the conference championship.

Aurora University's Kirsten Richardson (Shabbona, Ill.) was named both NAC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. The freshman won medalist honors at both regular season sanctioned events and the NAC Championship and had an 87.5 per round average in the three events.

Chad Johansen was named Coach of the Year for the second straight year, as Aurora University won the Northern Athletics Conference Championship for the second straight season. The Spartans also won the two conference sanctioned events this past month.
