Genke Posts New Career High, Repeats Weekly Honor

Concordia Chicago's Jessica Genke has been named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for events of Jan. 14-20, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Genke (Kiel, Wis.) posted a new career-high with a 33-point effort in CUC's 71-56 win at Rockford on Wednesday, in the team's only game of the week. The junior forward backed her scoring outburst with 12 rebounds, three assists and a season-high five blocks.

This is Genke's second-straight weekly award, and third of the season awarded by the league.
