Albert's Career High Scores Weekly Award

Marian's Sarah Albert has been named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games of January 2-8.

Albert (Howards Grove, Wis.) averaged 18.0 points and 4.3 3-point field goals per game as she shot over 56 percent from the floor and 54 percent from long distance as the Sabres (9-5, 5-4 NAC)  went 2-1 on the week.

The sophomore guard recorded a career-high 30 points in 30 minutes of action and set a school-record of 10 3-pointers made in the Sabres' 76-53 win over Aurora on Saturday. In an impressive shooting display, she converted 10 of her 13 3-point attempts against the Spartans and finished the week 13-for-24 from long range.
