Genke Collects Weekly Accolade

Lakeland's Jessica Genke has been named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games of December 19-25.

Genke (Kiel, Wis.) played a big role in both of the Muskies' wins at the Daytona Shootout last week.

Against Hamline, the sophomore forward helped the Muskies (5-4, 2-3 NAC) build an early lead, as she scored eight points on 4-for-6 shooting and grabbed seven boards in the 67-48 victory.

In the 66-55 win against Pacific, Genke was 8-for-12 from the field, scoring 18 points and pulling in five rebounds. She was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
