Scheele hits 2,000/1,000 on the same night

WATERTOWN, Wis. - Edgewood College senior Megan Scheele likely achieved an unprecedented double milestone on Thursday night, when she eclipsed 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds in the same game. Scheele tallied 21 points and 13 rebounds in the Eagles 65-47 victory over Maranatha Baptist.

Scheele is just the eighth NCAA Division III women's basketball player in history to reach both plateaus. Given the feat is so rare it's possible she might be the first player to ever hit both milestones on the same night. She now has 2,013 career points and 1,001 rebounds in her amazing career.
