MADISON, Wis. -- Junior forward Megan Scheele was named to the D3Hoops.com All-American team. Scheele was a fourth team selection, placing her among the top 20 players in the nation. Scheele becomes the first D3Hoops.com All-American in Edgewood College history.

This selection follows her first team All-Central Region selection last week. Earlier this month, Scheele was named the Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year and named to the All-NAC first team, marking her third first team all-conference award in her three seasons. Scheele was one of 10 national finalists for the prestigious Jostens Award, and a member of the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's Basketball Team.

Scheele led the Eagles (17-11, 12-6 NAC) to a runner-up finish in the 2008 NAC Women's Basketball Tournament, and a fourth place tie in the conference standings. Her 21.8 points per game led the conference in scoring, and was fifth best in all of NCAA Division III. She also averaged 11 rebounds per game, second best in the NAC, and shot 57.6 percent from the field, third best in the NAC. On the defensive end, the junior forward was third in steals with 2.54 steals per game and seventh in blocked shots averaging nearly one per contest.
