Benedictine's Brittanys Named Weekly Awards Winners

Benedictine's Brittany Wolski and Brittany Adcox were named the Northern Athletics Conference Position Player and Pitching Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for games of April 16-22.

Wolski (Orland Park, Ill.) extended her hitting streak to 17 games as she hit successfully in all eight games for the Eagles (27-8, 19-1 NAC) last week. In three of the games the senior shortstop was perfect at the plate with 4-for-4, 3-for-3 and 4-for-4 performances. On the week she hit .704 with three doubles, 10 RBIs and eight stolen bases.

Adcox (Plainfield, Ill.) pitched a perfect game on Sunday as she struck out six batters in the game-one, five-inning victory over Edgewood. She picked up six wins on the week, with two of the six coming in relief work. The senior righty had 25 Ks to just three walks in 27 2/3 innings pitched and allowed just one run for a 0.25 ERA.
