LISLE, Ill. -- Benedictine University's Brittany Adcox pitched a perfect game on Saturday, April 21, helping the Eagles defeat Edgewood College 9-0 (5 innings) in the first game then beat EC 8-3 in the nightcap.
Adcox was perfect through five innings with six strikeouts in game one. In game two, Benedictine took a 7-0 lead in the first inning and went on to win 8-3 for the final.
Adcox is the second Benedictine pitcher to throw a no-hitter this season. Freshman Eryn Pondo pitched a perfect game against Wisconsin Lutheran College on April 6.
Benedictine is currently on a 17-game winning streak and hopes to extend that streak next Saturday, April 28, when they travel to Marian University for a 12:00 pm doubleheader.
