Aurora's Tristan Wilcox and Concordia Wisconsin's Danielle Burke were named the Northern Athletics Conference Position Player and Pitching Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for games of March 26-April 1.
Wilcox (Lafayette, Ind.) hit .538 on the week with a double and a pair of home runs for the Spartans (5-9, 2-2 NAC). In a series sweep of Rockford, the junior catcher tallied five hits -- which included the home runs -- and five RBIs. Defensively she was perfect in 15 chances.
Burke (Burlington, Wis.) picked up three complete-game victories in the circle for the Falcons (10-10, 5-1 NAC) last week. The senior fanned 12 batters and held Maranatha to just two hits in the shutout victory last Tuesday, added another shutout and allowed just three hits versus Concordia Chicago on Saturday, and then held Benedictine to just four hits and one run on Sunday. Burke tallied a 0.41 ERA with 19 Ks on the week.
