RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Famer and 11-time National Champion, Sue Enquist concluded her historic 27-year coaching career at UCLA in 2006 as the winningest active softball coach. Now, she travels the country speaking at universities and organizations about competitive excellence, and this week she visited Dominican University.
An enthusiastic, passionate, and engaging presenter, Enquist spoke to several groups about what it means to be a champion in every aspect of life. She also shared insights gained from her former colleague John Wooden, another legendary coach from UCLA.
"Sue Enquist is one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history in any sport," comments senior woman administrator and head softball coach Cristina Lukas. "She is an extremely dynamic speaker and her message is powerful. I know she had a strong impact on our student-athletes this week, and I am excited that they had the opportunity to learn from her."
