School Records Earn Weekly Track & Field Awards
Edgewood's Nick Lohr and Wisconsin Lutheran's Sarah Frelich were named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for events of March 12-18.
Lohr (Manitowoc, Wis.) set two school records at the Shamrock Invitational last weekend. The freshman set records in the 100 and 400-meter dashes. Lohr posted a time of 11.36 seconds in 100-meter dash while covering the 400-meter distance in 50.46 seconds.
Frelich (Maribel, Wis.) set a school record at the Rhodes Open on Saturday. Her time of 2:22.05 in the 800-meter run was the new top mark at WLC, as she placed 17th overall out of 56 competitors.
