Spartan earns outdoor track and field All-America honors

AURORA, Ill. -- Aurora University Spartan men’s indoor track and field throwers, junior Tom Sroka (Justice, IL/Argo H.S.) and junior Adrian Kibiersza (DesPlaines, IL/Maine West H.S.), both competed in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Marietta College.

Sroka finished seventh in the shot put to earn 2009 Division III Men’s Outdoor Track and Field All-American honors following his performance in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Sroka earned his All-American honor in the shot put at the Championships. He finished seventh in the shot put with a school record throw of 16.33 meters (53' 7").

Kibiersza finished ninth in the shot put with a throw of 16.10 meters (52' 10") and ninth in the discus with a throw of 48.30 meters (158’ 5”).

In order to be an All-American, championship participants must finished in the top eight at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
