Johnson's Perfect Week Earns Weekly Award
Concordia Wisconsin's Russell Johnson was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for events of April 9-15.
Johnson (Monticello, Wis.) combined his singles and doubles play to win all eight matches last week for the Falcons (7-10, 4-0 NAC). The sophomore was 4-0 at No. 3 singles, with all four victories coming in straight sets.
He also finished 4-0 at No. 2 doubles, winning by scores of 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and 8-0 as his team won all four matches for its seventh-straight victory.
