Jankowski and Kochanowski named to D3Kicks.com Team of the Week

VERONA, Wis. -- Two Northern Athletics Conference men's soccer players were named to the D3Kicks.com Team of the Week (September 10-16).

Wisconsin Lutheran College's senior defender Jake Jankowski and Dominican University's junior forward Matt Kochanowski were selected for the 11 member team.

Jankowski (Muskego, Wis.) guided Wisconsin Lutheran to two dramatic wins this past week. In the Warriors 2-1 win over MSOE on Saturday, Jankowski successfully converted on a penalty kick attempt in the 79th minute to tie the score at 1. In Sunday's 1-0 overtime win over Dubuque, Jankowski converted on another penalty kick in the 95th minute to send WLC to the victory.

Kochanowski (Arlington Heights, Ill.) logged six goals and three assists in three victories for the Stars last week. On Wednesday, Kochanowski logged two goals in the Stars' 2-1 win over Wheaton College. On Friday, Kochanowski recorded his first hat trick of the season in a 5-0 win over Maranatha Baptist. Then on Saturday, Kochanowski logged a goal and two assists in an 8-0 win over Marian College. Kochanowski has scored a goal in four straight games and logged at least one point in each of the Stars' last five contests. On the year he has eight goals and five assists.
