Edgewood Extends Lead At NAC Championship

AURORA, Ill. -- Edgewood shot a third-round best 308 at the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship and extended its lead to 40 strokes over second place MSOE, which carded a 336 in the third round on Sunday at Stonebridge Country Club.

Edgewood's three-round total is now at 934, ahead of runner-up MSOE's 974 and third-place Benedictine's 987.

Brent Quade shot an even-par 72 in the third round to lead the field, and is now tied with his Edgewood teammate Andrew Cobb -- who shot a 78 on Sunday -- as the Championship leader with a 230 (+14).

MSOE's Dane Zachman shot an 82 and is now three strokes back of the Edgewood duo at 233 (81-77-72).

The Championship will be completed tomorrow in the fourth and final round with the winner receiving the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championship.
