Doedens, Schwarz Named To NABC All-Midwest Team

The National Association of Basketball Coaches named Northern Athletics Conference men's basketball players Luke Doedens of Concordia Wisconsin and Jake Schwarz of Lakeland to the All-Midwest first and second teams, the coaches' organization announced Tuesday morning.

Doedens, the NAC Player of the Year, was named to the All-Midwest District First Team. The senior guard led Falcons (21-6, 14-2 NAC) with a 16.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game average. He hit several game-tying and game-winning shots throughout the season and scored 20-plus points in 10 contests.

Schwarz, an All-NAC first-teamer, was named to the All-Midwest District Second Team. The junior forward is currently eighth in the nation in scoring with 23.4 points per game, a mark that also led the NAC. He finished first in the league in rebounds per game (8.9) and free throw percentage (86.7) and ranked third in 3-point field goal percentage (45.2) for the Muskies (21-7, 12-4 NAC).

A total of eight All-District teams were named by the NABC. The NABC Division III All-America team will be announced later this week at the NCAA Division III championships in Salem, Va.
