Plath joins WLC's 1,000-point club

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Wisconsin Lutheran College senior men's basketball player Kyle Plath (Lake Geneva, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) became the 17th player in WLC men's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 career points on Tuesday, February 17 when the Warriors (13-11, 9-7 NAC) fell to the Concordia University Chicago Cougars 103-98 in River Forest, Ill.
Plath, who scored 21 points in the game, punched his name into the record books when he sank a pair of free throws with 6:06 left in the second half. A transfer from Lake Forest College after his freshman year, Plath is the second member of the Warriors men's basketball team to accomplish the career milestone this season. Teammate Danny Behm (Jackson, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) scored his 1,000th career-point on January 12.
In three seasons with the Warriors, Plath has scored 1,003 career points. He currently leads the Northern Athletics Conference is scoring this season at 18.4 points per game.
