Lockton's Pick-6 Leads Weekly Football Awards
Benedictine's Ben Lockton, Concordia Wisconsin's Austin Damaschke and Rockford's EJ Johnson have been named the Northern Athletics Conference Defensive and Offensive Football Student-Athletes of the Week for events of Oct. 29-November 4.
Lockton (Grand Rapids, Mich.) helped lead Benedictine (4-5, 2-4 NAC) to a victory with 12 tackles -- which included 3.5 for a loss -- and recovered two fumbles. The senior defensive lineman also had a pass break-up and returned an interception 36 yards.
Damaschke (Bristol, Wis.) threw a career-high five touchdowns to lead CUW (6-3, 5-1 NAC) to its third-straight victory. The sophomore, right-handed gunslinger also ran for a touchdown.
Johnson (Bakersfield, Calif.) picked up a blocked field goal attempt early in the first quarter and ran it back 80 yards for a touchdown for the Regents (2-7, 1-5 NAC).
