Warriors, Crusader garner weekly football awards

Wisconsin Lutheran's Jesse Muldrow and Travis Turnquist and Maranatha's Ethan Lane were named the Northern Athletics Conference Offensive, Special Teams and Defensive Football Student-Athletes of the Week for events of November 7-13.

Muldrow Muldrow (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored all three of the Warriors' touchdowns in their 23-21 season-finale win Saturday over previous conference unbeaten Benedictine. The senior halfback caught a 34-yard touchdown pass and added touchdown runs of 59 and three yards, respectively. He finished the game with 138 rushing yards on 21 carries for an average of 6.6 yards per attempt.

Turnquist Turnquist (Madison, Wis.) made a key play in the Warriors' win as he blocked an extra point that was returned for two points to give WLC their first points of the game. That play not only sprung momentum in the Warriors' favor, but also provided the difference in the two-point victory.

Lane Lane (Atlanta, Ga.) forced three fumbles, had 12 tackles and added a sack in the Crusaders' 24-20 victory over Rockford. Two of the fumbles junior linebacker forced halted key drives by Rockford in Maranatha territory in the second half.
