Faller, Paul and Borsellino named football weekly award winners
Lakeland's Tony Faller, Concordia Wisconsin's Joseph Paul and Benedictine's John Borsellino were named the Northern Athletics Conference Football Student-Athletes of the Week for events of October 3-9.
Faller (Oostburg, Wis.) was all over the field in the Muskies 32-0 win over Rockford on Saturday. The defensive award winner had a team-high 10 tackles, two tackles for a loss of 19 yards, one sack for 18 yards, three pass breakups, one interception for 19 yards and a blocked punt in the victory.
Paul (West Bend, Wis.) ran over 225 yards in just 17 carries in the Falcons' victory over Maranatha for the offensive award. The sophomore running back scored a touchdown to go with his 13.2 yards per carry average.
Borsellino (Oak Brook, Ill.) became the first Benedictine player to record a special teams touchdown this year when he returned a kickoff 84 yards in the third quarter against Aurora on his first and only touch of the game on a kickoff return.
