Stars Sweep 1st Weekly Awards Of Baseball Season

Dominican's Lenny Cunzalo and Sean Bolton were named the Northern Athletics Conference Position Player and Pitching Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for games of February 20-26.

Cunzalo (Chicago) was 3-of-7 at the plate this weekend with a double, a triple, and five RBIs. His bases-clearing triple in the seventh inning of game two versus Fontbonne capped a Stars' rally that earned them a perfect 2-0 start to their 2012 campaign.

The senior third baseman was also perfect in the field, with two putouts in two chances in the Stars' sweep at Fontbonne.

Bolton (Western Springs, Ill.) led the Stars to the game-one victory on Saturday as the senior right-hander struck out seven batters in five -and-one-third innings pitched and surrendered just one earned run.
