Aurora to take on Carthage in NCAA first round
AURORA, Ill. -- The Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team, currently 18-10 overall and winners of the Northern Athletics Conference's automatic bid learned of their 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament opponent when the NCAA selection committee announced the bracket for the field of 61 Monday morning.

CUC takes women's title, CUW men repeat at NAC Indoor Track and Field Championships
KENOSHA, Wis. -- Concordia University Chicago claimed the team's first Northern Athletics Conference women's title, while Concordia University Wisconsin repeated on the men's side at the 2010 Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships today at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.

Meier and Blahnik named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-Americans
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Teams for men's and women's basketball were announced by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) this week and MSOE's Austin Meier was named to the men's first team, while Lakeland's KC Blahnik was named to the women's second team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has announced the conference's Student-Athlete of the Week awards. The awards include events taking place from Monday, Feb. 15, to Sunday, Feb. 21.

Aurora Baseball and Dunham Scholars team up for charity
AURORA, Ill. -- The Aurora University Baseball program and Dunham Scholars from the AU Dunham School of Business teamed up to raise $1,326 for Wayside Cross Ministries and specifically the Walk-A-Mile fundraiser on the morning of Saturday, February 13. The $1,326 raised by the Aurora University programs was the most by the organizations and 235 people that participated in the event.

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Rockford College has been picked to win the 2010 Northern Athletics Conference Baseball Championship, according to the preseason coaches' poll, receiving 131 poll points and five first place votes.

Spartans favorites, again, in NAC softball coaches' poll
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Aurora University Spartans received eight of 13 first place votes in the Northern Athletics Conference softball coaches' poll for 150 total points, picked as favorites to win the 2010 NAC Championship, which would be their fourth-straight title.
