student-athletes named to CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic
All-District teams
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the
Magazine Academic All-District Team for men's and women's basketball
were announced by College Sports Information Directors of America
(CoSIDA) this week, and five student-athletes from Northern
Athletics Conference teams received honors. To be eligible for the
honor, nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum
3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout their academic
career.

reaches milestone
MILWAUKEE --
MSOE’s Austin Meier (Oshkosh, Wis./West) surpassed the 1,000 point
mark in MSOE’s 56-57 loss to Edgewood College Saturday afternoon in
the Kern Center Arena.

enters Spartan 1,000 Point Club
AURORA,
Ill. -- Aurora University Spartan men’s basketball had its 29th
player enter the AU 1,000 Point Club in the Spartans 80-75 win over
Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010. Senior
forward Shane Roland (Knightstown, Ind./Knighttown HS) surpassed the
1,000 point plateau with the second of two free throws with 12:33
left to play in the second half.

Turley named
to D3hoops.com Team of the Week
RIVER FOREST, Ill. --
On Tuesday Dominican University's Marquis Turley (Grand Rapids,
Mich.) was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week after tying the
university and conference single-game scoring mark with a 45-point
performance against Greenville College last Monday, January 4.

Marian's Rankin reaches milestone
FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- Senior Logan Rankin
(Algoma, Wis.) became the 14th player in school history to eclipse the
1,000-point plateau on Wednesday evening against St. Norbert College. Rankin
recorded 22 points in the 78-70 loss to the Green Knights.

basketball poll eyes Eagles to repeat in North and South
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Benedictine University
Eagles men's basketball team was picked to win its second-straight
Northern Athletics Conference South Division title, while Eagles of
Edgewood College were chosen to repeat in the North Division,
according to the 2009-10 preseason coaches' poll.

exhibition game
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The MSOE Raiders men’s
basketball team continue to be an attractive preseason draw for NCAA
Division I opponents as they face national powerhouse and cross-town
rival Marquette University in an exhibition game Nov. 7 at the
Bradley Center with the tip off time yet to be announced.
