His jump catapulted him from nowhere to ninth nationally in the event. Simmons will join teammate and Pentathlon contestant Brock Solveson in competition at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Greencastle, Ind., this weekend.</description>

			<description>WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Teams for men's and women's basketball were announced by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) this week and MSOE's Austin Meier was named to the men's first team, while Lakeland's KC Blahnik was named to the women's second team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.</description>
