NAC SAAC's Plunge Raises $2,470 For Special Olympics
MADISON, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee had 22 student-athletes take the plunge at the 2012 Polar Plunge in Madison, Wis., in support of Special Olympics on Saturday.
The NAC SAAC team was "Freezin' for a Reason" on Saturday, February 18, at Olin-Turnville Park on the shore of Lake Monona, and raised $2,470 in support of Special Olympics athletes.
The 22 plungers from the NAC were from five different conference institutions (Aurora, Edgewood, Maranatha, MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran) and are members of their respective teams of cross country, football, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
Additionally, Lakeland was represneted by a soccer student-athlete at the Polar Plunge in Oshkosh, Wis.
