Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has announced the
conference's Student-Athlete of the Week awards. The awards include
events taking place from Monday, Mar. 22, to Sunday, Mar. 28.
Baseball

Steve Salazar, Aurora University

Salazar led AU to a 2-0 win
over 12th-ranked Carthage College on Saturday afternoon. The
right-hander allowed one hit and only three base runners in the
contest while striking out six in a complete game shutout.

Zenawick posted a hit and an
RBI in every game during the week and helped Benedictine to a 2-2
week by hitting .462. He belted the first Benedictine homer of the
season in a 3-1 victory over Robert Morris-Chicago last Wednesday
where he was 2-for-3 in the contest. He scored three runs in a 13-5
upset win over No. 12 Carthage College and was 2-for-2 in the game.

Adcox hurled a shutout in
her lone start of the week, blanking Wheaton College (Ill.) 1-0 in
the first game of a doubleheader. She carried a no-hitter into the
fifth inning and allowed just three hits in the contest, striking
out nine.

Sloan went a combined
5-for-7 (.714) with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in a
doubleheader split with Carroll University last Friday.

champion had the nation's second best throw to date this season and
provisionally qualified for the NCAA finals at the WLC Invite on
Saturday with his throw of 62.61 meters in the javelin.

Rodenkirch broke the
school-record in the high jump with a mark of 1.50 meters (4’11”)
for third place on Saturday at the Warrior Invitational. She also
finished third in the long and the triple jumps with distances of
4.72 meters (15’6”) and 9.88 meters (32’5”), respectively.
